so, I'm just wonderin how to get my beast clean.
when i clean my tmaxx, i remove the servosand electronics, cover the Ezstart and air filter with plastic, and squirt some 'bar and chain' oil around the moving parts.then it goes out on a date with the garden hose!
can i do the same with my X? everything is supposed to be waterproof. also, whats the green stuff oozing from shaft cups? can i put axlegrease in those cups for lubrication

For cleaning and lube I have fallen in love with the Krytech products. Their nitro cleaner and dry wax lube work wonders. The best part about the lube is unlike grease or other lubes it will not attract dirt.

To clean i just remove engine and front and rear suspension assemblies spray with cleaner, and blow out what u can with the air, wipe it, spray once more and then wipe again. Then i put some dry wax lube on every moving part, that needs lube.

Clean all of the grease out of the axle cups, extra grease will only attract dirt. Use either a dry or silicone lube, neither of these will attract dirt.

Nah the only one who has to worry about dust in his joints is Rolex. He's older than dirt after all. Seriously though I haven't had any problems with it. It's a Savage it can take it. The only time it was ever squeaky clean was when I took it out of the box after i bought it. Since then it's been too busy tearing up the neighborhood to take a bath. Plus if it breaks I just fix it and go on about having a blast!

Lmao. Well, I agree there. As far as cleaning mine goes, I take a rag and get all the excess hanging mud off of it just so it doesn't get all over the bed of my truck. It's just going to be right back on there within a couple of days.
