If you are running the stock Terrapin tires, those are the first problem. Get something a bit firmer and shorter, with 1/2" offset wheels if you want it super wide. Lowering it will help too, you can just put a length of fuel tubing on your shock shafts inside the shocks so they don't extend out all the way.

Myself, I run my XL's as is. Fine for bashing, and the stock tires are good for soaking up those big jumps.

Find a set of axle wideners. Not to expensive. STAY AWAY FROM INTEGY.

Tune your suspension if u want it to handle good. With changing my oils and playing with my preloads on the shocks I have the suspension arms level and the thing corners like its on rails without flipping over. It can take big jumps without bottoming out hard if at all. It's all In the tuning. It took me about a week to get preload where it worked perfect turning about a 1/4 turn at a time

I purchased sway bars for my xl but have not installed them yet.
