Cut it in half, and count the rings.

We really won't be able to give you an age, however if you post a pic we can most likely tell you what generation it is.

My Tmaxx is the origonal one first gen Highly modded Run's ok lol now has a 3.3
Question # 1 Are your body posts round or square when they go into the shock towers?
# 2 1.8cc 2.5 2.5r(blues head) or 3.3 Also the older tmax had a slipper cluch not the revo touqe control
and the newer parts are gray in color not black
these should help you determine how old

My T Maxx is an oldie.Got wrecked badly and became a shelfer for over 5 years..Its got the Pro .15 engine 2 speed trans with reverse...I got tired of it being something too heavy and pretty to use and slapped on a new look for it by widening it with a-arms/axles and knuckles from my 4908 extended Maxx plus lowering it aswell...The wider/lower stance gives this truck so much stability now that it can do full throttle sweeping to sharp turns without flipping over on asphalt.I was gonna slap a 3.3 in it but because of carb style the slider hits the spurgear shaft..I also have an OS .18 with rotary carb I could slap on it but its a pretty fun truck to drive with the Pro .15 .I have many more r/c vehicles to use...so far thats the only truck that comes home from bashing with the chassis and parts intact with the exception of a connecting rod that went bad and was easily fixed along with converting the Pro.15 over to a turbo style engine ......... its got quite a punch now...

Had a great drive today with my max breaking the new motor and picked up a used xray xt8 for $100
anywho i bealeve the 2.5 tmaxx was out in 2002 and the 18 year or 2 before
hope this helps nice max i have many of the same parts but updated chasses
and you have the 3.3 drive shafts sweet nice Franken maxstein

Looks like a T-Maxx 2.5 to me. I have one sitting at home that I'm repairing for a friend. Also killer deal on that XT8! I scored an XT8 roller with 1 race on it for $175 and it had Jammin Big Bores already on it. GREAT truggy.
