Apparently the only thing Pirata doesn't break is engines....hmmm who would have guessed?

glad i could entertain. ;)

So are we talking full rebuild here or just a con rod? the P/S if you take care of your engine should last 3+ all the way up to 10 gallons. In that time you will probably put 2-3 conrods in. This part takes the brunt of the stress and if it snaps will running chances are you will not have the option to rebuild. Just my .02

Can't hold an idle. Starts up but when the engine gets warm you can't keep it running. Loss of power. It is too easy to turn the flywheel.

if you can check the compression you should notice a steady decline of compression and also a SLOW loss of performance. The seal being broken is a timely thing, so you wont notice a rapid speed deduction. You will notice when your friends Radioshack Can beat your nitro, then its time for a new engine.

so... what exactly is done during rebuild?
replacement of piston and bearings inside?
and on avg, how much does it cost to do the rebuild?
