i was wondering this because i just ignored them and just used it gently and didnt use full throttle untill my 4th tank then after that i just went crazy blasting it round my garden at full throttle hitting any thing that got in my way :first_place:

break in is very important for getting the most out of your engine. your engine will not last very long.

well my dad said just to take it slow so i will make him pay for my next engine lol

Let us know how it works out. Break in is done for a reason, but its one of those things that people follow religiously but I don't know if anyone has ever done a side by side comparison of methods? I wish I had the money to find out.
If you were to ask my to come up with my own break in instructions my intuition would say to keep the motor at a good running temp during break in, and go easy as the motor is still tight for a few tanks. Slowly work your way up to full throttle.
I don't like saying "if you don't follow break in exactly" or "4 tanks isnt enough" because I honestly don't know enough to make that call. I'm no engineer! But it does seem good to break-in for a longer time, than a shorter time.

You know I've broke in four motors now.

all with great attention to detail on these holy grail break in procedures.

asked how this guy was doing it and that guy.

read post after post after post

searched the net for info.

called the manufactures

asked my LHS

They all said pretty much the same thing. HEAT CYCLE

This is a time consuming method but the pay offs are very nice

I have a Dynamite Platinum .28 that will shread tires if I'm not to carfull.

You really have to see that to believe it, but Believe it. now this site should post up a thread just for New Truck owners. With.....

A Break in chart of the Heat Cycle method.
and thread jumps to the most asked questions {or just good info threads}

if you have money try just opening up your motor for a few days and see how it runs then.IT WON'T

Just be patient and enjoy! Chuck
