How hot should the exhaust get?

I'm just wondering if this is normal. Engine is an XTM .247, engine runs at about 200-220 but my exhaust temps are always between 250-300. Is it normal for the exhaust to be so much hotter than the engine?

That's normal. Just make sure to keep your head temps in the suggested temp range. Your exhaust will always be hotter.

Thanks for the info. I never checked exhaust temp before and was a little shocked to see 301 on my temp gun last night when I did check it...
