how heavy is too heavy

i have a savage 25 with almost everything aluminum except trans case front shox and the a arms are still plastic

this this feels like it weighs a ton on its own is there a limit to what weight should a motor move? for example my truck has a picco p3-28 motor on it and this thing sinks in sand and dirt ant the hit of gas and my god does it drag!!!!!!!!!!!!

and on landings it bottoms out and bounces so i stiffen the shox up so it wouldnt but now i land and take air after landing what do i do to adjust for that i have stiffer shox in back fro lands and softer ones in front to stick landings but is there a better way

Dude...Lose the aluminum and go back to the stock parts...There are VERY few places where aluminum is good...Making it all aluminum is just bad if you're a basher...

Plastic is for bashing!
Aluminum is for the shelf! (Most of it) But integy is for the shelf period...

change your shock oil to a heavier weight. I don't know what you are running now but try 10 or 15 heavier or so. This will help to keep the shocks from rebounded so aggresively. This way the stiffer springs will absorb the impact and keep the truck from bottoming out so badly. The heavier oil will help to suppress the springs natural rebounding action so it does not bounce. Don't go too heavy though or you'll blow a shock cap or o-ring.

well i have 2 trucks one is going to be in truck pulling comps and the other is my basher
 
It still must meet a maximum weight requirement for sledpulling......

i cee but with all the aluminum it weighs somewhere round 23 lbs cause i had it shipped to germany and the scale at the post office was charging out the ass to ship a 23 lb box
 
Then ya might wana start breaking down, and lightening it by a few lbs.
 
Weigh that truck by itself, I bet you're well under 20lb. I can believe the 23lb shipped weight but that included the box/packaging.

probly i had a tank of gass and a few other items like a small tool kit and spare parts
 
just read up on the rules i posted on your other thread about pulling, and it will tell you everything you need to know.
 
i agree with SAMRSNOW if your bashing i would go back to plastic

but i have my sho truck my good one and i have a basher i have a sagage x completly stock nothing but a carbon steel clutch bell and spur gear with a 3 speed trans too
