having old gas in your engine can u ruin it? also would leaving gas out in the garage make the gas go old sooner or should i keep the gas in my house! out in the garge is about 35 degrees and it is really cold here :\

My LHS's advice was to keep it in a warm (not freezing) environment and keep off the concrete floor. I'm keeping my left over nitro in the house this winter.

A friend of mine had fuel in his landjump? Anyway a very old Kyosho aluminum buggy for years, the fuel was in a gel state we added a little bit of fresh nitro in the tank and vroommm it started right up I was like:ponder: :dumb:  I say it's good for atleast a year.

well since i bought a savage off of ebay, the seller told me tha the gas he used to break in the car was Sidewinder racing fuel 20%, i dont think my lhs had that stuff so is it ok to use different stuff and not hurt the engine? also what kind of gas do u guys reconmmend:winnar:

The engine will be fine if you have to switch to a different brand of fuel. I would stay with the 20% nitro content. You will probably have to reset the carb so have the factory carb settings handy when you make the change. I use O'Donnel 20 and 30%

Nitro fuel should be stored in a cool dark place (ie not out in the sun). It is best if kept inside of a container that does not expose it to extremes of temperature or lots of light.

I keep mine stored in my field kit and the field kit lives in my house. My field kit is a rolling tool chest...the bottom is perfect for such storage...dark, environmentally sound, and plastic...all good things when storing fuel.

well it looks like i have to switch to diff gas, so do i have to tune my engine again of i saty with 20%, what would i have to do, iam kinda new at nitro crs, so any form would greatly help thanks!!!:fro:

If you stay with 20%, you will still have to make some minor needle adjustments. Each brand of fuel has a slightly different oil content. That difference makes some minor adjustments to the needles a necessity. Other than that, no change to the percentage...you should be good to go.
