"Somewhere in the mid 30's completely stock.
Top speed wasn't our main goal for the Savage, it's designed for off-road with extremely long suspension, soft sticky tires, and gearing that is optimized to provide the torque needed for extreme off-road driving. It feels really fast when you drive it and it has plenty of power, when it shifts into second people will think it's going 50, but somewhere in the mid 30's completely stock is more realistic. We took the stock truck and bolted on taller gearing and got it to go almost 40, so it has the power to go really fast if all you care about is top speed.
Actual speed will depend on several factors, including altitude, temperature, the type of surface you are driving on, engine condition, carb settings and the type of fuel you are using."
