ok i have a .21 hpi engine, and this summer iam buying a picco .26, how much faster is the picco .26 in mph? i think the .21 engine can reach speed of 31 mph.

No idea how fast it actually makes the Savage go, but I can tell you, it blew away my Stock Savage mill. Its mucho badass for the price you pay. I love my Picco. Cost effective AND enough power. A little light on top end, but plenty to go around.

Now I'm on this stupid ass endeavor for a high end mill for my buggy. Picco wont cut it there. Not with the poop the guys will be bringing to the East Coast Bash NY Style Part II. Id be chump change hehehehe

For the Savage its AWESOME IMO!

is the picco .26 and picco .26 outlaw the same engine? what is the difference, i got a picco .26 engine head so will it fit on the outlaw?

.26 picco, .26 picco outlaw, .26 ofna/picco, .26 ofna/picco outlaw same engine just depends on how much you want to type. most will know what your talking about if you say .26 picco.

sweet thanx, can i buy the picco .26 cheaper then for $166

Probably not for less then $166 new but it's possible. $166-170 is a good current market price. I love the Picco .26 Outlaw and it's clone the wasp .26 produces awesome power though the entire band but especially on the low and mid end. Like I've said before, if you look @ the Picco .26 on a Dyno chart the torque curve is nice and flat and drops off right in the middle. It's all give and take in engines and they obviously designed and ported the engine for mostly low and mid range power. It's kinda light on the top end like Christian pointed out but it still produces good top end power. You can't have insane low end on a NItro engine and Insane top end. Monster Trucks aren't touring cars and the Picco .26/Wasp .26 will give your MT the power to perfrom like a real MT. If you've got deep pockets and are looking for raw top end speed I'd look into the Sirio .27XL

FYI, If you properly mod/port the Picco .26 it produces insane lowend that should easily wheelie the Savage on it's back with even high gearing (on a Maxx it's nuts). The Moding will add very noticable top end compared to stock but I can't tell you exact MPH @ sea level.

Peace

hey, I've never seen a picco .26 in action, But... I have seen a Orion Wasp .26. Those two are easily compared. And WOW. it was a fast engine. It held a tune and stuff and made the savage scream like a virgin on prom night " Got that from 30%Nitroboy" haha , its a good solid engine, Id strongly suggest it. :sheep:

Skyline - Low bro. You gotta be carefull where you use that virgin on promnight line..ha.

The Wasp .26 and Picco Outlaw .26 are identical from what I've seen other then the color of cooling head. Purple with the OFNA Picco and Silver with the Wasp .26

You can get it cheap in a sence if you are willing to shell out close to 2 hundo. I bought a Wasp and c/f and c/r CVD's, and it came out to 201.77. However right now at towerhobbies if you spend 198.90 or more you get $20 off. And since the Wasp p/s is 174.99, i figured thats $20 off and that makes it 154.99(since i was going to buy the CVD's anyway!) All told i got out at just under 190, Not bad. That is how i justify spending that much money, please dont comment on my lunacy.

I have both the Picco and the WASP...If I were you I'd get the WASP since it's cheaper...unless you like purple (then go for the Outlaw).

the picco in my savage wheelies like crazy with the 52/16 combo...
the wasp is in my TITAN and i'm still bbreaking her in....it does reminds me of prom night ;):whip:
