 cheers, i had a tmaxx 2.5, put all kinds of money into it for hopups when it broke (damn near every time i started it) but it was a load of fun while it worked.

i sold it when the motor was getting tired, cuz i didnt have the money for a new mill...

anywho, I'm looking to get another truck, cuz i need the ground clearance, is the revo able to with stand BRUTAL driving tactics? i dont run into curbs or walls, i seem to hit fist sized rocks that i can't see usually. my buggy topped at about 45-55 but it flipped many times from those invisible rocks... i broke a retainer of some sort, still works fine, just "should" be replaced.

any who, what is the best monster truck around these days.. i kinda like the lightning truck, but traxxas is a very reliable company.

traxxas is to reliable as RCNT is to ignorance......
get a savage if you're beating the crap out of it....get a revo if you want to race.....use the search function if you have another comparison question....

I've had really good luck with my Revo both bashing and racing. Yes it's really made for racing but it can take a lot of abuse. The 2.5R in the Revo is slightly different than the 2.5 that was in the Maxx. Not sure of all the differences but I know there are differences.

I beat the crap out of my revo. I have no broke anything yet ( knock on wood)

I am not using the 2.5 anymore either.

My Revo ate the slipper clutch pads after about 1/2 gallon, mysteriously, but other then that it has been perfectly reliable. I just added the RB 323 mill, and anything that breaks will get MIP or RRP replacement parts, for the most part. I expect a few things to break with the added power.

excelent.... any who, looks like I'm gettn a revo in a month to a few months, hehe. i was going to get a carbon fiber chassis, but after looking at it i debated the quality... (i dont remeber what brand, but it seemed cheap) ... does anyone have a link to the carbon fiber chassis the pro used?, i figure an easy way to check for loose screws is to improve the chassis *spelling is prolly wrong) and does anyone have a link to the 3233 setup for a steal?

Fantom makes the chassis and it is featured on the project car in the current RC Car Action Mag.

And if you mean the RB TM 323 motor, check with Rob's R/C Hobbies, he has the kit for 219.00.

714-372-3777 is their number.

Get a revo if you want to race and bash. o yea! I love my revo! Jump: all day, wrench: Twice so far and she's about 2 months old.

EDIT
Mine is all stock except for the radio. I love this truck!

ok, ill hit up the rc store after i get my revo, and get tired of the 2.5r :)

Revo's a cool truck and all, but like nemo said, If you're bashing and really abusing the truck, get a savage 25 rtr. It's tough and sturdy. Also cheaper than the revo. Mine is pretty much stock, except for a new motor, and wheels..... and of course a failsafe.

Just my two pennies.

savages are ugly, slow, and poor handeling. I dont like tvp's. i got a violator for bashing, and violating, much faster and better handeling than a savage. I'm a reletivly competant driver, and when somthn breaks, I'm willen to wrench it back to preformance

LMAo tell him how you feel brotha hahaha

I have no ill feelings toward the savage but the revo has to be just as strong if not stronger than a savage. I have been beating this crap out of it with the 2.5r , os.18TM and now with the Rb 323 and she is holding up like a champ.

Edit: friend of mine has a savage and he has had to fix quite a few parts since we have been bashing together.

Double edit: My friend just send me a pic of his his Tmaxx's axles. he just broke 2 of them. He is only using the 2.5
