How durable is the reverse

Hi guy's, I just did the reverse mod yesterday and the picco .26 loves to do the reverse wheelies now. But I'm curious on how much abuse will the reverse stand before it blows

i think the differentials would take more of a beating then the reverse

I've blown out my reverse gear....but that was because I was being stupid and still had the truck going forward when I threw it in reverse.

As long as the truck's completely stopped before you hit reverse, the gears should be fine.

You don't go driving in your real truck or car forward and drop it in reverse....or do you?

i believe what hes doing is going in reverse and dropping it into drive and going forward popping wheelies. i did this in my old car when it started to piss me off (94 ford escort with 200K+ miles on it) and it was awsome to watch the car would be going backwards and the tires going forwards but alas the tranny died a few weeks after i did about 10 of them

No better way to drop a transmission than that is there?

A Chevy trans would of survived that anyway.

i did that to a chevy cargo van with a 350 and blew out the drive shaft and cracked the whole side of a 400 turbo although it was at full throttle rolling down a hill boy was my boss pissed that was when i was about 20... them good old days...lol
