on a four stroke yes. with out major modification a two stroke can never benefit.

engines are the same.
No they are not! R/c nitro engines are meant to produce torque
A two-stroke engine, in this case with a tuned expansion pipe illustrating the effect of a reflected pressure wave on the fuel charge. This feature is essential for maximum charge pressure (volumetric efficiency) and fuel efficiency. It is used on most high-performance engine designs.
:D

nitro engines on a plane are the same thing as nitro on a car. both use the same design and really the only difference is most plane engines are designed to be cooled be the prop.

Then put one on your truck and tell us how it works. I know first hand it will not produce the desired result as you will not have any low end at all!

well if i can get the one from o.s. to fit i will. right now its between that and the .26 red dot as to what engine i will get.

well the red dot seems to be king as far as drop ins go but the video i saw with the o.s. four stroke had torque coming out about every cavity possible and then some. crazy thing was the guy barely touched the throttle.

here is a vid.

thats the os 26 sc. its a .40 sized only producing 1 hp at 22,000 rpm tops. you could supercharge it and get 2 to 3 hp if you tried. but a picco p.28 has 2.1 hp the most in a 2 stroke nitro car/truck engine. you can supercharge a 4 stroke because the exhaust valve holds the air in giving you more compression and air/fuel per stroke, thereby producing more power..
