how's th ework up there?

Not great at all. Lots of unemployment here, but in the larger cities, not too bad. But then the housing is much higher. It depends on what you do. A 50K income is a LOT of money in this area where it's peanuts elsewhere.

But things are less expensive. Traffic's light. Air's clean. Plenty of places to hunt and fish. Outside of domestic violence and drugs (see unemployment above) there's a lot less violent crime. Depends on what's important to you.

here in fairfield county ct we have some pretty high house prices. In Greenwich conn, the cheapest house is a one bedroom condo and it goes for only 525,000. thats on the bad side of town. I am friend with a few firefighters down there and we talk about fires we catch. One buddy said they had a mansion with over 10 million in damage and the house wasn't considered a total loss the guy was just like oh well fix it. they value of the house was near 30 million and it was only one "wing" that burned up. My wife and I got our house 18 months ago and someone just sold their house (identical to mine) and he got 165,000 more than what I sold mine for ........damn!
