You are going to find that many do not support the HB threaded shocks. Too many bad experiences with that particular shock set. I never had a problem with them, and have no problem recommending them to anyone. I would, however, recommend reading up on them. You might find that others have had different experiences that would give you a better idea of what you are up against.

I did upgrade my suspension to a buggy shock set up (by choice) and find that the new set-up is perhaps the best way to go. You might want to give that some consideration also.

I have nothing immediately available that are close-up. The images below should give you the idea. If you need some close-ups, let me know and I'll make some tonight.

To make this work, you will need a set of New Era upper a-arms that take the 1/8 scale buggy shocks or 1/10 scale MT shocks. (CLICK HERE FOR INFO)

You will also need to purchase your choice of 1/8 scale buggy shock or T-Maxx shock. I run Mugen MBX rear shocks (pricey but tougher than nails).

Take a look at the pictures and let me know if you have any questions.

Does it handle better? I think it handles the heavier stuff more easily. I have never worried about bending a shock shaft with this set up. I have never worried about a hard landing from great heights with this set up. It drives smoothly and corners as one would expect an MT to. But is the handling better? Hmmm...I'd say yes, but I only ran the stock Savage shock set up for a few bashes, and can't really give you a great comparison.

If you click the link provided in my original post (look in the parenthesis where it says "CLICK HERE"), you will be taken to a on-line store that sells them. I purchased mine at a LHS.

Hmm Sky not to cause a stink or anything. I keep seeing you say Motors are electric. Sorry dude but right from the dictionary

Motors are as follows
1. a machine that converts electrical energy to mechanical energy
2. internal combustion engine

Engines
1. a machine that applies power to some work, especially a machine that can start others moving.
2. a machine that pulls a railway train.
3. a machine; device, instrument. (ie Those big guns are engines of war)

The second meaning of motor also refers to our vehicles or the better term motor vehicle.

No stink raised. Ask most engineers, and they will tell you that they destinguish between engines and motors in the fashion that I am. Engines are combustion related and motors are electro-mechanical.

Since Webster doesn't get that type of QA on things that are down in the weeds like that, I am not surprised by the definitions found in the dictionary.

You rebel you...damn Canadians. =devil
