Horizontal bandsaw

Wheres/whats a good place to find a small sized metal bandsaw, like a bench top sized one. Horizontal too. Any one here have a Grizzly, like this one?

I'm really wanting something that will cut smoothly and preferably mostly on its on, like a bigger metal bandsaw where you just turn it on and it cuts till its done then stops...but for cheap.

What materials are you going to cut Lloyd? We have a larger Grizzly at our shop and actually for the cost,I'm impressed with it's performance. One note though, having the right blade and choosing the right speed and cut pressure makes the biggest difference in performance.

Mainly like 1/4 aluminum rod. I'm guessing on the ones I linked too, they arent the kind that "auto" cut right? But work more like a chop saw where I have to hold the switch till I'm done?

With the right blade, you won't have time to walk away on a 1/4" alum rod anyway.

Your Amazon link doesn't work for me but the other appears to have switches so you could set it and walk away on a heavier cut if the base is heavy enough to balance/support it. It may need mounted to a bench or other stand. Also it says up to 4 1/2" square material,but it's mainly for tubing and small rod. I don't think it would would do solid steel very well.

On the Grizzly one, they advertise a Grizzly G9112 44-7/8" x 1/2" 14 TPI Raker Tool Steel Bandsaw Blade for it, is that enough TPI to be a smooth cut for 1/4 aluminum? Or am I gonna want to find something like 20+ teeth per inch? Also, will any brand of blade work as long as its 44-7/8?
