hop ups for my rs4

First off I'm new here and wanted to say hi. i recently got my first nitro car and i had a few questions regaurding hop-ups. it's a rs4 rtr 3 evo with a t15. i was really looking into the 18ss but i didnt have enough cash nor did i have the correct equipment to get it. now, hpi claims that there are basicly NO hop-ups for my car yet there are many hop-ups for the 18ss. i find this really hard to believe considering that the engine/mount, gearing and brake are the only things i noticed that were diffrent. i was wondering why it isnt possible to use 18ss hop-ups on my rtr. i was also wondering if id need to change pinions in order to goto a 52 spur 1st gear and if it's possible to use an engine mount. thanks a bunch

I'm of the impression that any parts made for the RS4 3 will fit. So you can explore all the chassis, suspension and drivetrain upgrades that are offered. There may be some slight differences in the parts included with the 18SS kits vs. the Evo 3 kit. But it's still the exact same chassis as the 18SS and RTR3. If you're not 100% certain, just post up the mods you want and we'll take a look to see if they'll work.

ok well today i got new spurs. i installed them made all my typical throttle and break adjustments and for some reason I'm incredibly slugish now. i have no mid range to top speed. i havent made any mixture changes either. so I'm still on the rich side. should i really have to find another mixture after installing new spur gears!?!? i guess i'll have to try some mixtures tomorrow. as for new heatsink and exhaust setups would you guys have any suggestions? i took a look at the upgrade heat sink for my engine today (the 1 that comes on the 18ss #1703) and i wasn't impressed. i know it'd be a nice upgrade but i wasn't pleased with the size of the sink. maybe I'm used to seeing the upgrades for the savage. anyways is there anything bigger that fit my car. and as for exhaust i really wanted to go nova-rossi. but i realized how much they are! the other day i got to take a look at some "hpi team" setup sheets and apparently the rs4 touring guys run the stock exhaust manifold. i found this hard to believe. anyways they say stock exhaust manifold into a nova-rossi .12-.15 exhaust. the funny thing is, is i can't find which muffler they're using. i can't even find much nova rosi stuff period.

ok for some reason i can't find any RD Logics pipes that are specificly for an rs3 with side mount exhaust. and the ones i do see that possibly would work are for .12 engines. can you name a few that would possibly be for my car. thanks.

nice. thanks a bunch. the local shops around here dont carry this brand so if i decide to pick one up i might have to order it online. now for heat sinks. does any1 know of any better heat sinks compared to the hpi upgrade i listed above?
