hi

i seriously need a wheelie bar for my maxx. I've allready scratched my new body from it lifting the front.

does anyone have any pics of their homemade wheelie bars?

i was thinking of using the stock bumper and cutting the 2 bent sides of it off leaving me with a short straight bumper.

then drill out the center of the bottom bar and slide a shaft in there.

and then drill some holes big enough for body clips to go in, to hold the wheels on either end.

thanks

I believe New Era makes one that is attatched to the skid plate (it is all one piece, making it stronger). The skid is made out of a heavy guage aluminum. I haven't really seen any home-made wheelie bars, and havent really thought about making one, because the skid/bumper acts as a wheelie bar. If you dont want to scratch the body, dont drive the truck, or dont use that body. Simple as that.

you mean to say youv'e scratched that nice body i painted for you:whack:

its the only body he's got the other snapped because of too many wheelies

i would show you pic of the remaining bonnet but i can't upload pics in the gallery for some reason
