I'm staring at my t maxx 3.3 an my dremel my chassis looks like it has alot of extra alum do u think i should cut out where i dont need like in between servos and by the exhaust pipe anyone have any pics of jobs they have done or where i could find some

I would just caution you to be careful that you don't remove too much and weaken the chassis, or cause stress cracks. Post pics if you get brave!

unless you are racing it, and need to gain the few grams of weight loss you may take off, I would suggest you leave it alone. You may make it weaker if you take too much out, and you are not really going to gain much at all by doing it.

a new stock chassis is cheap!!!!!!!!
go for it, this is how we learn....

you never know, YOU might create something new.

I am with Joe on this one....I don't think your gain would be worth the loss of strength. However If you MUST do it; just a word of caution first. Do yourself a favor and leave no inside corners at a prefect 90% angle. Round the bottoms out , this helps prevent cracking.

Don't. My titanium chassis was like that for one reason. IT WAS TITANIUM. But alluminum will bend very easily if you screw it up.

I'd say there is absolutely nothing to learn here. It would be ugly and weak. The only new creation this will lead to is swapping all his parts to a new chassis. Ya want a lighter Maxx, run 2.8 wheels and tires.

I'm with NC,Joey, And Matt on this one. Nothing good can come from it. But the lesson you will learn putting everything on a new chasis.
