So as I said before I bought a brand new T-Maxx. I thought it Would be a good idea for them to brake it in seeing as how it was my first one. Well I was supposed to pick it up today. Guess what they blow it up before I even got to use it!!!!!

You break it in yourself all those idiots were doing was having fun with your money they should give you a whole new truck no waiting.:whhooo:

They still owe you a NIB truck. Break it in yourself... but I guess that's obvious. Also, I would not do business there if I could help it. Obviously they were beating it up pretty good before they could no longer hide it.

Totally understandable why you might want them to break it in for you, but get the NIB truck from them and do it your self this time, its pretty simple and straight forward and you will be the only one to have run it. Might not hurt to send Traxxas an email about them too, thats not someone you want selling your products.

definetly not and the break in process is also a good way for you to get used to your trucks driving and steering and body role at a lower speed...... and yeah they probly beat it pretty good what exactly did they break??? because you shouldnt brake anything in the break in procedure becuase you dont go fast enough to for the first 4 tanks and then yeah you gotta give it some but buy that time you are alittle more used to stopin and turning... Wish you luck and yeah I would say they owe you a new truck that has never been touched or taken out of the box(still sealed)

They said a piston or a something in the motor. And you better believe they are getting me another truck for nothing and also throwing in another gallon of fuel!

I definitely want to brake it in myself after hearing everything your guys have said it makes real good sense!!!!!! Thanks everyone!

np anytime you have a question dont be affraid to post it on here even if you think it sounds stupid... its better to ask then guess.... good luck.....

yup like i stated earlier each rig has a diferent body role braking distance what it does when you nail the brakes and all that fun stuff you learn about your truck when you take the time to... It is definetly worth the time to do it.... I have 12 and I still dont mind the break in process cause they all do something diferent...

I was kinda like that when I got my first rig. I wanted to break it in myself but didn't want to screw it up. I just took it slow, did some reading and followed the manual that came with it. It's really not hard, being your first one, just be careful, keep an eye on temps etc. Iv broken in several motors already and I love it! Do it properly and you will have something with nice power, tuning is not hard either. You just have to understand how a carb works and it will help alot. I'm pretty sure there are break in procedures as well as tuning guides on this website for u to go by. I'd post a link but am using my phone ATM.

i have had 3 traxsas engines spit the wrist pin keepers out. iam through with traxsas engines. iam going to O.S. engines. to prevent the con rod from splitting dont run the engine at top rpm for more than 3 seconds. just my idea.

just curiouse what fuel is everyone running in there rigs when they blow the engine???? just curiouse..

I have never had a traxxas engine failure
just worn out from being used
i only run traxxas fuel in traxxas and byrons in everything else
i run everything rich they may not be the fastest out there but they last along time
i had a jammin x1 that was my stepsons and split the rod after 7 tanks and i sent it back for 50 bucks and i got a new motor
i have a orion wasp 28 that was my stepsons and he kept breaking pullstarts and i got the run around from the hobbytown where he bought it which is out of buisness now
they kept feeding him crap until i went down there.
I finally called orion and they told me send it to them
they put a new pullstart and backplate and piston and sleeve
they said it was pinched wrong and i got a hand written letter explaining everything

You too? my 3.3 did that and scored the piston and the sleeve didnt blow the motor just lost all compression it also probably didnt help that it was 93 degrees out either lol

At my lhs they don't even break in the engine in the truck. He has a bench mount with a fan to add load.
