i posted this in gen nitro but i wanted to see what you guys are getting temp wise with your on roads. i was pretty much maxed out with richness and still getting 250-255 top temp. anyone else run there on road that high of a temp?

is that normal to have to shut down or idle your engine after 10 min of running cuz its getting to hot?

Hi Matty, not normal I'm afraid - couldnt run a 20 min final like that ay, is your tempgun deff accurate??? Seems pretty hot if you running on the rich side like you said - have you tried richening (is that a word??) HSN an 8th? For memory from another thread LSN is nice now but the pinch test can tell you if that is lean.
Although sublime did say you safe up to 260 - is it still rising and you shut down at 255?

As long as you are between 220-260 you should be fine.

agree, and i have run engines that liked to run alittle hotter with no problems. if it was mine as long as it didnt shut itself off id run the snot out of it and keep an eye on the temps not to let it get rediculusly hot.

great thanks for those tips. i do see how every engine could be different. it definetly sounded like it was running extreamly rich. it was making a little popping noise when i gave it gas
