Me and a friend are going to the track tomorrow to race/bash but i was wondering what do u guys suggest i get to make this truck have a higher top speed but at the same time have fairly good torque. I dont need the crazy acceleration, but at the same time i do want good acceleration!
Let me know what else i should do...

the best thing to do is a 3 speed but, if thats too much or u dont want one i would go with higher clutch bells going up one tooth at a time and find the perfect gearing for what u want, i would run it at the track as it is before you make changes to see if u really can even use the higher top end.

Leaning the engine out a bit will also make it fast. It's tricky so you're not running too hot but I know a lot of racers tune their engines differently when at the track versus bashing.

I am not sure what you have on for a spur. But I run 47 spur with a 18T clutch bell and it works very well for top speed..about the best ratio you can get for the 4.6's for top speed. And it still gives some good snap in the bottom end. It won't likely lift the front wheels but it prevents a lot of spinning and gets going fast really fast. You'll smoke him.!
