Hello,
I am a super noob when it comes to gas trucks. I just picked up a T-Maxx oc .15 and I am having a bit of trouble with it.

It starts, but the idle skyrockets and gas pours from the exhaust, I have played with the High and Low idle screws but I dont want to mess anything up. Any suggestions? Sorry for the noob question, I can't wait to get this thing runnin :-P

Thanks,
Jeeper (AKA SUPER NOOB :P)

check the gap in the carb when sitting at idle. make sure its about as thick as a credit card. Find the stock settings for the lsn and hsn and set them there.

i went through, set everything stock, set the carb gap, and it wont start... but the gas seems to not be gushing out of the exhaust as bad.

Well I got started, the rpms seem to have lowered but the tires move like its at full throttle in reverse...

Thanks everyone for your help.

could it be a bad o-ring in the carb? Should I buy a carb kit and just try it?

Thanks,
Cody

time to rebuild that motor... i have a Pro.15 and it does the same thing... bad compression.

It will run, but has crappy or no throttle response. and /or will run for about 2-5 minutes and dies with fluid pouring out of the exhaust.... i've turned the truck on its side and fuel comes running out like bad

For sure. Mine did the same thing for the first time. It flooded like hell and when I would clear it out, the fuel would just keep coming. It was damn cold out, so I haven't given up yet. It ran great before the other day. I just cleared it out, let it sit with the glow plug out for a few hours, put after run in, and will wait until the weather gets warmer.

made a trip to the hobby shop today, picked up an o-ring kit for the carb. Came home changed all the rings, put it back togther, played with the open/close settings a little and now its rippin around the yard.

I thank everyone for their input, I hope to become an active member here :-)

Glad to hear that it worked out! These little buggers are picky about even the smallest of leaks! Have any pics of the beast? :)
