high idle

RC Driving Style
I went to go drive around for a bit and my Nitro Sport seemed to idle high and run real funny. First I tried to adjust the idle screw and it didn't seem to be the problem. So then I tried to make the motor run leaner and richer and everytime I touched the screw the car wanted to rev and take off. It did stop and calm down after a while but it has never done this before. I haven't changed anything at all, not even fuel. How come it does this?
 
the first thing i would do is set back to factory setting on all needles and try again. if you have not already sealed your engine i would recommend doing so.
 
RTV your backplate and carb, also check the O' ring on your fuel tank and check the fuel lines for leaks.
