When I let off the throttle the truck revs up a couple times then settles to idle. I had a glow plug break in the cooler, so I pulled it and backed it out and put another in. The tune before that happened was great but now it has the reving issue and its running hotter. What do i need to check for after pulling the cooler off? Do i need to replace the gasket? How can you tell which way the cooler goes on? It looks to only go on one way.

A cooler is for beer and pop. A cooling head is on top of your engine. What exactly are you asking? Did you lose a glow plug element in the engine? This would not affect the tune. But could scar up the piston and sleeve, leading to premature wear/loss of compression. Is the new plug the same kind as the old one?

Nothing was dropped into the engine. I pulled the cooling head ;) took the glow plug out of it and put a new one in. Then I took it out and I noticed if you go WOT then let off it revs up a few times before it goes to idle. I didnt know what would be causing this because before I pulled the head it was running great but now I cannot get the isle down to a good spot and it is not consistent like it was.Do I need to replace that copper gasket when pulling the head? I pulled the head again and re tightened it back down but i havent took it out to see if that fixed it yet. And yes, the new plug is the same as the old. Its the Traxxas one that comes factory in it a #3232 long medium.

It's probably sucking air from the cylinder. You have to really take your time, tightening the bolts in a star pattern, a little bit at a time on each screw. You may need a new shim. Make sure you get the right thickness. It's possible that the head has gotten warped too. But it's not the end of the world if it did. They can be had pretty cheap. So what I would do, in order: Re-tighten head. If that doesn't help, new shim. If that doesn't help, new head.

Must have got it fixed. I pulled the head again and re did it the same as before and it is good to go now. Maybe that copper ring didnt seat well enough the first time.
