I ask around at my LHS and people either just play around on their street or it's NJ, Queens, Whitestone...no places in Westcher? I'm looking for both offf-road and on. If you got some people, I got some people. We need to establish something in Westchester if it has not already been done.

No I have only heard about it. I always raced at whitestone in the BX but aug 1st they shut us down ! :(

Anyway people run at Nathans on central ave. I am not sure the day and times. What car are you running ? I wouldnt mind bringing you to Prospeed with me one day. I am in Mt vernon.

No car yet, just monster trucks. I am holding off getting a car until I can find somewhere I can travel to on a regular basis.

Check out Barnstormers.
It's closer then Prospeed.
Exit 127 off route 17.
Off road Monster trucks, 1/8 scale buggies.
It's like 45 minutes from Westchester, depending were your from.

Barnstormers looks pretty cool, pity about it being on the other side of the Hudson. I could always take the Bear Mountain bridge though. Tappan Zee and 87 in general through Rockland has turned into driving hell in the last few years. One thing though, I don't see any mention of Savages. Are they just not used or not allowed?

well I just found out the other day from Ron over at Cruzin with R/C's is that there is a group of racers around 20 or so that gather in Nanuet, NY at an oil/gas filling station near Rte 59 on Tues nights from like 7pm to 12am. He said a track is set up and they race til 12am.
I am gonna go check it out tomorrow night since I work right up the road from the area.

You sure that's not Bruckner Hobbies? If it's not, that's a hell of a coincidence.

nope, it's not bruckners.....I know Brian from bruckners and the only thing he got going is a small dirt track that is still being built in the back lot of their store. As far as the track that is set up at the oil/gas filling station....actuallly more of a propane filling station, it's in Nanuet, behind Toys R Us. Start time is like 7pm to gather up. I manage the Autozone up the road from Bruckners so I am familiar with what my be happening in the area. There is also a gathering in Pearl River, NY that pat from Xtreme Hobbies has going on Tues nights also. They set up a track using fire hoses but they mostly just bash with some x games ramps

Prospeed is on Exit 123 off Rte 17 and another 15 minutes from where you get off the highway. MAYBE 25 minutes away from barn stormers if you wanna do some onroad.

didn't see any faces from here at the track set up in Nanuet, NY tonight.
Well here is the breakdown on the track. Great bunch of guys been running at the propane fill station in Nanuet, NY behind Toys R Us for about six years now. Tues night is the run for on road from like 8pm til whenever. track ground is nice and whoever shows up first canset the track up it seems like from what I heard. The track is layed out with the plastic style half domes with the round circles around the turns. This was great as your car don't smack into 2x4's, your car just jumps the line with no damage, but can flip car easy at high speeds. It's a nice size lot to layout a track. There is even a driver stand and enough room for small fit tables. Parking is not that great. Night track lighting is pretty good and you do see all parts of the track. They do have transponders for some racing and they also have the radio clips for frequency.

I didn't even get out of work til 8 last night due to server problems all day long so the last thing I wanted to deal with was the TZ bridge...twice in one night. Anyways, so it's a on road only event? Money involved or all for fun?

well last night there was a nice goup of racers just tuning up. It was definetly a place for me to be last night and get a hang of driving a car on a track for the first time. It was not easy for me compared to off road. No money involved last night, justsome good ol racing against those that showed up to tune. Iwould say the track was "close" to the size of the HPI Challenge track. itwas definetly better as you don't smack intowooden boards, you simply just hop over the track deviders as it they were like plastic speed bumps. The parking lot was nice a smooth. I got there around 7:30 and tried to learn how to drive til 11:30.

I don't think any of the regulars there would like the idea of a truck on a car driven track.
