Hope I got a good price. Bought a brand new mayhem for $410. Can't wait for it to get here. I building up my fleet - hyper 7, mayhem, what's next!!?

Did you get the RTR for $410? If so, that's a great deal. And it's a nice buggy. The Mayhem is my first and I love it. It's solid. Well-made. Durable so far. You'll like it.

Got it off ebay....some retailer was selling it (can't remember his name - located in FL) and so I bid on it. I was high bidder but but didn't make it to the reserve price. Later, he did a second chance thing through ebay for my bid price and I got it.

It's the RTR version - some guy just sold a new mayhem pro w/ engine for $375 (no radio) on ebay too.

Can't wait for it to arrive next Wednesday....told the wife that I save something like $60 but then she said that I spent $410 to save that $60, haha....

She only said that to justify what she bought and hid from you. When you see somthing new and she says, "well you spent $410 on that toy" tell her that at least you told her. See what kind of reaction you get. Also, stand firm ... don't give up the bed!

a mayhem won the a-main in buggy last night out of some real good drivers. looks like a top notche car

what race and where?
can you give a complete listing of the A finalists?

Good for you on the Mayhem. You are going to love it. I REALLY enjoy mine. I'm usually the last one still driving at the local dirt stomping ground.

Anything special that I have to do with the mayhem (rtr)? Is everything loctite? How about the diff fluids; are they filled? I'm going to get it Wednesday; I think I'll take the day off on Thursday to run it, haha (don't tell the government, I work for them!)

Go over it well. I found only a couple places lacking loctite, and that was the screws that go into the alloy cross braces that hold the chassis braces to the wing mount and front end. The diffs should be fine. They come with good diff fluid already in there. No need to tear them down unless you feel you need to change the handling. It is pretty solid out of the box. The only little things I have done were to place small rings of fuel tubing (about 1/16 inch thick) in the outdrives that hold the 2 center driveshafts. That will limit the play and rattling that they come with. Also, check to make sure your steering servo is tight. The back 2 screws in mine were too long and wouldn't tighten all the way down. I added a couple washers on top of them so they tightened better. If not, you may have loose/asymmetrical steering. Make sure you take the time to break in the engine properly. I am on my final "break-in" tank and will be tuning it soon. Even so, this thing is fast even when running at 160F.

it was a local race. some real good drivers with the usual 777, mbx5, hyper, one xtm but mostly kyosho and mugen. he was smokin, that thing was glued. there were 16 entries. also a good friend of mine has one and it is rock solid.

I raced my Mayhem for the first time last night. I got third and second in the first two heats and second in the main. I've got a Novarossi P5 in mine and hardly anyone could catch/keep up with me in the straight. This is my first buggy and I love it.

Me tooo!!! I placed 3rd at the first race of the season this year with my Mayhem Pro out of 10 buggies in the main.
I'm using the stock .21 engine.

This is my 3rd buggy and by far the fastest buggy so far!
Good work on the Mayhem Sportwerks!
