hey guys i am new and i was just wondering what the first upgrade i should get for my t-maxx it is a older model i got it like 3-4 years ago but i am just starting to be able to use it often. any help would be great thanks again.

For starters, get the A arms that come on the new max. Lower, wider ride. Makes a BIG difference. You can also go for the ProLine suspension. A little wider. Proline Max Mulcher tires.

oh yea i already have a set of rims/tires so like billet a-arms? not like another set of plastic ones rather get billet cause i would get them sooner or later anyway

go rpm arms, they are cheaper and lighter and rpm will replace them if they break. and i secound rolex on the maxx mulchers

Maxx Mulchers if you drive on moist clay type stuff, any chevron pattern for road and off road but not hard clay tracks.....and bowties for blue groove tracks...and I definately third the RPM arms....then CVDs, High torque servos FM Radio and Metal gears (at least the tranny)....then you can start looking at engines cause your ride will be able to take the HP you'll be adding....

All I can say is Failsafe Failsafe Failsafe!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the first thing you should buy before anything, If your batteries get to low you can have a runaway that is where your truck decides it doesn't want to do what you tell it lol and take off and crashes into anything in its way and can cause a lot of damage!! I know from experience it was not a pretty sight it was enough to make me want to hurl :puke:

Umm throttle return spring. This along with the Failsafe will save you money!!! If it is that old I would rebuild your diffs and pack em with fresh grease. You also may want to do the FOC( Foward Only Conversion ) help free up your tranny. I would rid yourself of the Blue wire on your EZ Start and get a hobbico 1.5V cell and long charge clip. This will prevent you from having a dead ez start battery and assure you that your plug will glo true each time.

i am not sure what style wheels i have there not the stock / \ kinda gut it is kinda like c/ kinda thing goin in with another on the other side.

are the rpm a-arms plastic? because i have snapped my plastic arms in the past and would rather get metal ones instead

RPM are nylon, they are much stronger than stock and carry a life time free replacement warranty. Aluminum will bend, and once bent you will never get it back right again, not to mention they add quite a bit of weight to the truck. RPM is the only way to go imo.

Heres a shot of my T with the RPM arms...

That is a sweet T Maxx man have you ever driven it lol That thing is cleeeeeeean! Mine looks like that most of the time also, everytime I've ran it I bring it in and clean it all up again. Rpm arms are awesome I got a set from Plaidfish and have had a couple hard crashes where I hit something with the tire and it just bounced off and kept going, I would also suggest getting a set of aluminum bulkheads the plastic ones are weak.

ok kool so rpm arms do i need to get sumtihng or do the new style mount the same as the old style?

like what kind of riding? i mostly do jumps but i want to start racing it.

if u me like hop ups all i have done is rims and wheels i believe kinda forgot anything else

Looks like you got it covered to me :) I would also suggest getting aluminum bulkheads at least for the front the stock plastic ones are a weak point on the T-Maxx. I want to get a set my self when I have the money. If anything get the front ones I've heard they are the ones that usally break first. Also the foward only conversion kit is awesome makes your truck respond much quicker I just installed mine and I love it!! Good luck with the Maxx
