I recently bought a tmaxx to drop in a new engine and make a racer or a fast basher. Since the engine is not in price range yet I'm stuck with the little pro .15. When ever I give it gas it sits for a few seconds and revs then finally goes. Is the engine dead or is a problem I can just ajust? I have to wait with the engine and want to drive it so any help would be great.

There are some vehicles that like to warm up before they even come close to running properly. I will typically have to do a couple laps with my MT to get it to want to shift into 2nd or even give a full rev. Is this your first truck?

i think maybe your slipper needs adjusted .if to loose it will just sit and rev and gradualy start moveing . just an idea .also as Phins fan says they do like to warm up a bit before acting right.I had one and it had to get warmed up torun right.(original .15 max ) fun truckbut you do know if it is an original 15 . and the throutle linkage is stock.(old barrel carb ) you need to do the conversion for the throtle linkage.Don't go to big with the motor because you will have to change all shafts.

OS .18 is the way to go. It's enough power to keep the stock drivetrain together and its a nice boost in power. You also might want to get the forward only conversion.

When i bought the truck the servos are all upgraded it is not my first car i have others but this is my first tmaxx. The slipper is what I think may be the problem and it runs better after it warms up but still has hesatation. How fast are the os .18s are? I was looking at the os .21tm is it good or is the .18 better?
