Well, I surfing the RCNT gallery's airplane section, and since there was only four pictures in there, I decided to upload a few pictures of my own.

This's my dad's plane that he completed about 2-3 months ago. We flew it 2 or 3 weekends ago. It flies really really good. Easy to fly, easy to land, and it's a very capable plane. It's a "Spad."

Nice. He have that rigged with a computer radio? Fun flys are a blast with a computer.

What size is it?

My dad designed it all himself...no plans...and yes, built from scratch.

We posted pictures on another forum a couple weeks ago, and someone from a magazine wanted some better pictures to use in an article...we're pretty excited about that.

Tell us what magazine and when it comes out so I can get myself a copy, you better throw a RCNT in there some where, lol.

lol, rear wing eh? It's called the elevator. Anyhoo, the basic material he used is this stuff that looks like cardboard but it's plastic.

He put some wood sticks in it to strengthen the elevator so it doesn't flex as much. Which is something that Spads are known to do.

Hey Kwong

Plane looks good. Colour scheme looks good too

i like the way you have lightened the fuz.

Does your old man fly 3d- the plane looks like it wants to torque roll

Just another example of why I should not fly planes. Thought that would be good shock material for Sky to see me flying a plane and crashing it...

My dad's still a n00b at flying. He's gonna get back into it heavily this year. We were going to fly today after I got done with finals, but unfortunately it rained :(

The plane coule probably torque roll, if it had more power. It's too heavy and won't hold a hover...I tried (to the best of my ability)

I'm an R/C flyer, and I never saw anything like it at the field. I knew even before I read through the replies that it was scratch built. I like the perforated fuse and the creative winglets. The special effect on the "tail wing" (elevator and horizontal tail) look like the wrinkles you get in monokote from temp changes.
Is it Monokote or paint?
Tell your dad to put a 4-Stroke Saito 1.20 on it and you'll be able to hover just above idle.

The "special effects" on the elevator is actually from sticking rods in the coroplast to strengthen it up. The coroplast is white and the only covering was used on the wings. He used some special colors he bought at the sign place where we got the coroplast.

If we were gonna drop a 4-stroke in the plane, it's have to be a yS63fz...anything less would be uncivilized...lol

But it's got plenty of power with the GMS61

I have a plane in my Gallery if ya want to check it out. Thats things cool lookin. Definatly unique. Pretty sweet.
