Have you ever landed a huge jump a little nose down and had your ball joints pop off at the shocks?

Well, this easy tip will stop that from happening. Install a washer that is slightly larger than the captured ball. Place the washer on the outside then tighten down the 4-40 allen bolt as normal. The washer will prevent the shock end from popping off the ball.
I have provided a picture below to indicate how it should look.

Been there done that...over and over and over again. Great tip, except you need strong rod ends otherwise expect to break a few on those really big airs. Voice of experience on this one.
 
cool - thanks for the tip! ubutomium shock shafts and RPM ends would be okay though, yes?
 
How about a pocket full of kryptonite just to keep Superman in check?

Dude that sounds like a rock solid combination.
 
LOL - i had to tdo that - after putting 4MM! front and rear towers on, those became my weak points
