I have an issue and its costing me alot of money. My revo is running great. But when it gets on its lid it pretty much instantly shuts off. When it does this it takes the glow plug out with it. I've burned out 2 glow plugs today due to this and i wasted 40 dollars at the race track to only be able to run 3 laps due to this and some other issues. But i need this cured i can't afford to buy 20 glow plugs a week.

Ok its not always burning up the glow plugs. After landing on the lid maybe 8 times it will kill a plug. It doesn't seem to be spitting any raw fuel out when its upside down either. My fuel line is a little shorter than the line that came on it but maybe by 2 inches. But it cuts off pretty much the instant it gets upside down. Never enough time to burn the fuel out of the line.

The line on my Revo is probably 12 - 15 inches long and looped around next to the roll bar. I spend a lot of time on my lid and have issues at all with it. What kind of temps you running on it? Running it too lean/rich maybe?

I take it you went to CapeFear today? How'd you like the track?

yeah i was there but i had too many issues. First it was my first time there. I didnt get to practice any really because my clutch shoe spring let go. And i killed 2 glow plugs and i just couldnt stay upright long enough to learn the track and it wouldnt stay running because at first i thought the clutch shoes would fix it so i changed to a aluminum 3 shoe setup. This didnt fix it so anytime i got on my lid i would try to keep the revs up and as soon as a turn marshall would get there i would hit the brakes and they would flip me over and it was dead. Either that or there was no turn marshall to flip me back over. I had my pit guy check temps after it died and they were around the 210-211 range. I was finally getting the hang of the track but now and then i would get upside down and i was done and i eventually got tired of it. My only guess would be that the LSN may be too rich.
After you flipped the truck back over and went to start it i would have to give it 1/2-full throttle to start it and sometimes it would start but most of the time it killed the glow plug. It did it tonight when i got home so right after it did it tonight i pulled the glow plug out and it was barely wet and the coil looked brand new.
But anyway it was hot as hell today my neck is burned to a crisp and i wasted 40 dollars just to run a few laps so i am not very happy right now. Almost makes me want a SC8 but I'm almost fed up with nitro. Now i can tell you this from running in my backyard. My truck is faster than it has ever been. Before i couldnt hold a tune for more than 2 minutes and this was caused by a broken oring on the gas tank lid. I fixed that and from a dead stop it comes out the hole extremely hard then about 2 seconds after it hits second and winds right on out. So the tune is dead on it seems. Just the low idle and dying when upside down is killing me.

Just measured the fuel line and its 13 inches long.

If you are only running @ 210 with the 3.3....your too rich. Those motors like to be up past 240 or 250 to really run correctly. We'll have to hookup sometime and I'll give you a hand. My Revo is running pretty well and my temps are pretty up there (270ish) and I have yet to have a single issue with it since I tuned it. When I was running it a tad richer, I was fouling plugs left and right though....and that was @ the 230/240 mark. When I leaned it out some more on the HSN I was good to go. Now I run 2-3 tanks through it without even shutting it off out there and it never hiccups. When I flip on my lid...I have a good 30-45 seconds to get there before it will flame out.

I'm more than happy to help. I should be out there Wed after work....but no idea how far away you live. Was it Chapel Hill?

Your LSN may be set a tad rich also. But my Revo does about what MotoGod's does, I've only had a rare occasion when mine will die when it's on its lid.

Seriously? Well I'm like 25 miles from it. lol So I guess you're not too too far away then! How's the tuning going? If we ever do get in the same place at the same time I'll let you take my Revo for a spin to compare. It's not perfect....but seems to go pretty well. I just need a faster/stronger steering servo. I may sell the Revo when I have my Truggy done...

Dude i just took this revo out this morning and i am in AWE!!!! It has Never Ran this Good. I can sit at a dead stop, punch it and it rockets off like no other, About 1 second later it slams in to second and second gear whines out in less than 2 seconds. I am scared to touch any settings because man its running awesome. If my camera will let me i am going to take a short video and show you how it runs.

i got a video but I'm having problems with my network card so I can't upload it right now. I will figure it out and get it on here today.

Did you lean it out a bit for today? or is it still the same settings as yesterday?

Still the same setting as yesterday. But i have found out my issue and i am mad. The outer Clutch Bell bearing has went bad, It was almost seized up on the shaft, i got it off and the inner race was offset to one side and this is what has been causing my issues the whole time. What makes me even madder is that it is sunday and the LHS is closed so now i have to wait. Dont hobby shops know most people race on saturday and most end up needing parts on sunday. I really really wanted to run today some more. There is a hobby shop open here but he doesn't even have any bearings. Moto wanna make a trip???? LOL

I have 2 kids with me today. I'm lucky I'm still standing upright! lol 3 year old won't shut up.....2 month old is a mix of screaming bloody murder...and sleeping. So I'm having a fun day already! Why do any RC Stuff? hehe

I do have a set of Duratrax bearings though. lol Just would be a long trip for you :-P

I hate it. This crap happens every sunday. I have nothing to do but sit around here and be bored now. O well life craps on me again.
