Help!! WHEEL SIZE PROBLEMS

I'm TRYING TO BUY SOME RIMS AND TIRES FOR MY 2008 REVO 3.3 CAN ANYONE TELL IF THESE WOULD WORK. HPI Mounted Phaltline Street Tires w/8-Spoke Chrome Wheels (2) - 17mm Hex - Fits Savage X & Others

Description


This is a set of two HPI Phaltline Mounted Tires on Chrome Blast 8-Spoke Wheels. These tires will give your street truck an awesome look, and they also help give you much better traction and handling on tar or concrete than stock or off-road tires will. These are a must for city drivers and show trucks. The wheels have a 17mm hex. Included with this set of wheels is a full set of 17mm hex hubs, so that you can run them on just about any truck originally equipped with 14mm hex hubs, like the T-Maxx, Savage 25, and others! These are perfect for the Savage X, XL, and other large trucks. If you would like a full set of four wheels and tires, purchase a quantity of "2" packages of these.

Yeah those would fit. You have the blue alluminum hex's right? if you do then those rims would fit as they are for a 17mm hex.
 
If your 3.3 is a 5309 model, it will have 14mm hexes and you'd have to get adapters to make them work. If your truck is a 5308, it will have 17mm hexes already. Bottom line, they will work regardless you just might have to spend a lil extra to get adapters.

you have to make sure that the hubs that you are getting are splined I have the ssame truck and I have to get splined rims

No you don't. The Traxxas hexes will work on nonsplined 17mm wheels. You just can't use the Traxxas wheels with the splined hexes on anything but the Traxxas hexes.
 
to tag on the obvious a little, just take note of tire size. I believe the stock revo wheels are 3.8" and final tire size is near ...crap, i forget ,i think around 6" Just be sure you aware of any diameter difference in wheels will have a significant impact on gearing either sacrificing top speed or acceleration.
If you have the 5308 with stock spur and wide ratio xmsn, then a slightly smaller tire might just make one mean street machine.
