Hey guys.... I have a T-Maxx 2.5 and I recently bought a set of aluminum a-arms off ebay for a pretty good price. The whole point is he forgot to mention it did not include hinge pins so I am going back to the old a-arms which were RPM A-arms. I am having a problem tho with the wheel alignment with each tire. I have taken the A-arms off a couple times and re-assembled the wheel assemblies numerous times but nothing helps. The wheel alignment was perfectly fine when I took them off. I am completely at a loss and just for reference all four wheels are pointing inwards.... toward the body. Any help or suggestions would be great. Thanks!

You want them to toe in slightly so the truck will track straight however if they point in at an extreme angle then you will need to shorten you turn buckles. keep track of how many turns you do for each one so they will all be the same.

Ok I will try that. Hopefully I will have enough play in the turnbuckles cuz the front tires are towed in at an extreme angle.... I will see what I can do and post again in a few.

Alright.... Thanks for the advice cwal but I did not have enough turns left in the turnbuckles to make an improvement in the tow in. All four wheels are towed in and it would probably run fairly straight but I just can't see what would have caused this. It was never like this before I took the A-arms off. Anybody got any ideas what could have changed? Thanks in advance for the suggestions.

did you put the a arms in the same place as before?? they could have gotten mixed up somehow. when a part is in a certain spot it usually wears in for that spot. this includes the hinge pins. they may all look the same but each is different in there own way if they're used.

Yeah thats what I thought about. Me being a newbie at this I did not mark the a-arms so I have no idea where they were orginially. I am going to try moving the turnbuckles around to see if I got them mixed up. I may just have to deal with it and hope for the best.

How are you mounting the turnbuckles? They must be mounted under the knuckle arm and on top for the steering linkage.

Also, could you have swapped front to rear? The fronts are shorter.

MadMax.... Yeah I have the turnbuckles mounted on top for the steering linkage and underneath the knuckles. But I did not know the fronts are shorter than the rears. You know I would not be surprised if that is the problem. I will check that out and get back to you. Thanks for the suggestion.
