Help with TRX 2.5

My question is that my piston fits about half way into the sleeve and wont fit all the way to the top of the sleeve likes its supposed to, what do i need to do? if anybody can help it would greatly appreciated

Is it new? A new set is supposed to be that way to allow the piston/sleeve to wear together for a perfect fit for good compression.

not really i mean I've had it for about 5 years but its only been run for maybe a couple of hours
