I have a 4907 it brand new broke it in right I was on my 6 tank and it want it 2 and I hear this loud whining noise and brought her to me and pieces of the slipper clutch was broke off and traxxas said it was to loss I think it got to hot and that's y peaces broke off of it and I went to hobby town USA and they gave me a new slipper clutch kit and traxxas just seeing them the new one instead of me is that why it won't hit sec and pop wheelies or is there something else wrong with it I just don't no since its a brand new truck and how do I replace my slipper clutch and how tight should it be I've only have a tmaxx 2.5 4910 one so my new baby set up is way dif from that one I think its more like a revo then my old t maxx I think ppl say its the classic one LOL

The slipper clutch can be adjusted to suit many different surface conditions and driving styles. Base slipper setting. Tighten the slipper to where you can just slightly turn the spur gear by hand while locking the slipper shaft. This a good starting point to protect the drivetrain from shock loads. Make further adjustments to suit your driving conditions. Do not make adjustments to the slipper clutch any larger than 1/8 turn at a time. Adjust slipper to… • Limit wheel spin for loose conditions. • Keep the front wheels on the ground under heavy acceleration on high-bite surfaces. • Protect the drivetrain from sudden impact or shock loads (such as landing from a jump with the engine under acceleration. Caution: Do not tighten the slipper to the point of eliminating slippage. This can permanently damage the slipper components, and the components of the drivetrain

Ok I'm going to do it tomorrow is there a factory setting for it ? My hobby store told me to tighten it all the way down and then bk it off 1/8 of turn to 1/2 of a turn?

The instructions I gave you is the factory setting. After you adjust it like the instructions state you can tweak it to your liking.

Ok so ill do o get it off LOL

I think he has to replace it if the hobby shop didn't do the work for him.

Here's the TMaxx manual. You can save it and read what you need or you can print it out for future reference.
Slippers are an easy fix. Just take your time and pay attention to the order you take parts off so you know how to put them back. The manual should help.

Peaces of the pads broke off on the 6 tank of gas y did that happen when the truck is new ? I call traxxas and they gave me a clutch kit

I have the manual and the box bought the truck on 11/29 And broke it in 3 days ago and took her out yesterday to tune it and the slipper clutch broke and it hasn't hit sec gear 2 time since I had it and no wheelies at all

Hobby town USA put the reverse in it for me

Depending on who you ask, wheelies are a bad thing and a sign of incorrect gearing ;)

I'd say first get the slipper repaired like the guys have already said and then work on getting the engine tuned. Once all that's in place you'll be able to hit 2nd gear easily and even do a wheelie or two if you so choose. :D

I'll try that thank u OS there any fast way to get it off ? I got to take the motor and gas tank off right to fix it ?
