I moved your post to it's own thread. You are more likely to get help here.

what engine?
what plug?
is it broken in yet? if not how much fuel has run through it?

What are your needle settings at?

All i can tell you is this,
Instuction manual says Engine is a Japan18cxp, as for the plug i have no idea but it won't be anything special as the buggy was cheap. It is broken in i have'nt really tuned engine yet cos not long after break in i broke a rear damper so had to wait for a replacement. I am thinking of putting carb & needle settings back to factory settings then try again. Glow plug is good filament is not damaged in any way has a good glow and is'nt blackend.

Hello Longmill,

Lets get a few things answered.

First, have you checked the idle setting? without the airfilter on, you should be able to look down into the carburator and see a 1mm opening when at idle. When you apply your brakes, that should never fully close. it should just limit the fuel enough to keep the engine running .

Second is the glow plug. Have you checked to see it glows bright?

Last...what is "broken in"?

Please give us some answers to help you out.

Jon has a good point with the idle settings.

I would do what you were saying by putting the needles to stock and retuen from there. It would be much easier for ya.

Thanks for all the advice guys sorted it out buy reseting needle valve and the carb setting had much fun chasing the dog round my back garden this afternoon:LoL:
