Hi all, hoping you can help me with a revo I picked up cheap off eBay,I previously had an acme condor for a whole week which went on the scrappile and I've replaced it withe decent car!

The problem I'm having is trying to get the thing to start,I reset the needles to factory (hsn 4 turns out and lsn flush with housing,1mm carb gap) All the car will do is turn over, wont start,if I pull the throttle on the remote it will start, but only when the carb gap gets to about 4mm,it will tick over then but as soon as I let off the throttle it dies? I've replaced the glow plug, and it's lighting alright, and I'm running it on 20% fuel.

Any ideas before I replace the piston and sleeve,as there doesn't seem to be much pinch when the pistons at tdc?

Sounds like with no pinch it may be worn out and need a new sleeve/piston. But before you do so try to lean the lsn in 1 hour intervals until it will idle. When you get it to run and warm it up if its worn out it will stall and not start again till it cools down.

Yeah as I said a can get it to run,but only with the lsn turned fully clockwise, against the stop,so looks like a new sleeve and piston is in order :-(

Got sorted, whoever rebuilt the engine put the piston in backwards!

Well you learned the first lesson of buying used rigs ... Always do a complete tear down and check of the entire rig when you get it.

Congrats on the upgrade and let us know when you have more questions!
