I have a savage 21 with a 21 sh motor. I am new to nitro and need some help. I have 20% fuel for it. Here are my questions:

1. What glow plug should I use? I was told to use an 8 but I don't have any idea what to use.

2. The brake is coming apart. Who makes an upgraded version that will fit and work well?

The 8 is probably referring to an O.S. #8 plug. I'm sure someone will chime in with what works best with that engine.

HPI makes a dual disk brake set that works very well. Good upgrade for the money, it's less than $20.

depending on your climate the o.s. 8 or a mcCoy mc-59 should be fine. they are both hot plugs i believe, but thats fine.. as far as teh brake coming apart, what is it that is coming apart exactly? is the hub striped? is the rotor wore down? are they pads loose? HPI makes a dual disk setup that is very nice. check out www.towerhobbies.com for that. also vertigo performance makes a disc that is made of their carbon fiber that i have heard works very good.

I live in Houston, TX. The plug I was told to use was an os 8. The pads came out and the rotor is all messed up. Is the motor I have a good motor? Or is there something better out there. This truck is just for fun, but money is no problem, but I want to get used to driving it before I go any bigger.

The choices are endless for upgrade motors, some of the popular ones are XTM Pro 24.7, mach 26, wasp 28, picco 26, collari 30, SH28, and Rossi 8 port. All will make your Savage move like the wind. Check the power plants forum, there is lots of info there.

Oh yeah the modded S-25 and K4.6 are also great engines.
