Help with engine

This is a new 4.6 hpi savage engine it runs fine but as soon as i take off the glow plug starter it dies.... why?

Your needle could be just a hair on the rich side. Try leaning it down about 1/16th of a turn (on the low end needle).

Just a little tiny bit is all you need on the adjustment.

thanks seems to be running ok now, I'm letting it idle through a full tank. Its cold outside so i also put a sock over the head to git the heat built up. because befor i would touch the header and barely felt any heat

No problem - I've got the HPI F4.1 and it's a beast; that K4.6 ought to be a downright monster... I'm thinkin about getting one when my 4.1 wears out.

It also might be because the temp is cold.

lol, good point. I'm startin the OS30 fund as soon as the pipe is replaced.
