I have a short chassis t maxx with a 3.3 and grey 3.3 trans. What center shafts should i be looking for? i twisted the rear one so Now i need a good replacement. I have metal axles all around except the stock center shafts. Should i keep them plastic? Then i will have a cheap week link in the whole thing.

If u keep your slipper adjusted properly you shouldn't have a problem running steel centers, you have quite a few options in this case, but the mip stuff is pretty good, stay away from anything integy,

Well that is good to know.. I found enough spares in the box i got with it.. To keep it running for now but upgrades will be in the near future

From what I've heard the MIP centers are crap and wear out quickly
For steel centers you will need 2 5mm cups 2 6 mm cups 57.5mm dogbone for the front and a 70mm dogbone in the rear.

You will have to cut down the output shaft on your tranny to get your brake hex to line up with discs

I've never had to cut down my output shaft to get the hex Lined up,it must be the cup that you r using

It's because it's a grey tranny. The output shaft is longer than the black one. + you will need cups that use 2 grub screws instead of a set pin. Both UE and rc monster has them

Oh I think Traxxas makes centers for the short chassis. If they do it would be a lot easier

There are 2 different grey trannys the 2.5r and the 3.3 u have the 3.3 and madd802 has the other which has the 5mm output shaft

Yup he says he has a 3.3 tranny. Which will need to be cut down

+1 on the traxxas cvd's never had a problem fitting them up and they held up to some serious abuse
the 4909 chassis came with the grey trans and was fitted with a 2,5r at first then updated to the 3.3 the 4907 chassis has the different trans with 6mm outputs vs 5mm output on the 4909 grey trans

I bought a set of MIP center shafts for my emaxx awhile back and they are both the same length so they didn't fit. What truck has the same front and rear shaft length? They are dogbone style.

To my knowledge the 4907 chassis has the same length shafts front and rear
I did the dogbone mod to mine and used 2 77mm hpi dogbones
