I am trying to put integy aluminum bulkheads on my 3.3 maxx and the pins wont thread into the aluminum. Do i need different pins?

I have a front integy bulkhead and my stock pins thread fine....

My only guess is maybe the paint they(idk what it is) used has increased the inner diameter of the hole.

How do the threads look on the pins..... if you tried to screw them in I'm guessing there flat?

Maybe a differant thread count on the bulkheads..

Btw these bulkheads aren't the strongest.... screw holes didnt last on the rear. Replaced them with american cnc and whoa can you tell the differance!! quality products American CnC has.

When you say pins to you mean the A arm pins or do you mean screws?? If you mean screws return it if able to do so. If you mean the a arm hinge pins they won't screw into the bulkhead you can put them in backwards for now but you should get e-clip hinge pins there a couple options for these I use traxxas stainless steel pins.

My a arm pins are threaded and the bulkheads are not. That's why I was wondering if I needed new pins. So I need the pins with the clips. K thanks

I'd return those bulks before they get scratched. Integy is known to use weak aluminum. I know first hand.:) The only good things Integy makes is clutches and tools.

i used traxxas bulkhead an i love them, in crashes my screws snap right off without any bending or flexing of the aluminum. maybe a little pricey but its worth it

I also use traxxas bulks, but I did bend the front a little and now can't get hinge pin in. I hit a high curb about 3/4 throttle, straight on, did'nt break anything just bent bulkhead. Other then that they have been great.

Dude send those junky crappy Integy bulkheads back or sell em on ebay or something but get rid of them Integy stuff is crap, strictly shelf queen stuff! In my opinion go with new era aluminum bulkheads they are machined out of a solid chunk of billet aluminum an extremely tough I smacked a concrete culvert head on at wfo all it did was shear the four screws that attach to the chassis pan. Four screws and 10 minutes later I was back up and running. www.neweramodels.com check it out. Plus they are not really all that expensive $29.99 for a set and they come with all the screws and hardware! Except suspension pins I use the traxxas stainless steel ones with the e-clips. You can buy the front and rear bulks from new era for what you'd pay for one set from traxxas and I think these are a lot tougher than any of the other aluminum bulkheads out there.
