my truckzilla is running rich but is running hot, 284degress hot, thats wierd! i guess every1 is havin tuning troubles, I'm running 20% sidewinder fuel in it. has anybody been able to tune the .46 just right for temps, what are your low and high needle settings, my high needle is 4 out, i even tried 4 1/2 out its its runnin hot, i got 6 tanks through it. help me please!

That's crazy. Are you running the engine rich to point where it wants to die at full throttle?

everyone???? hottiest I've ever gotten was 250 degrees... I am running 20% Trinity Platinum... tuning requires the area you are in... and weather... I am still happy with it.. I

okay you only got 6 tanks! and running hot??? 6 tanks is still breakin process....

I'm in hawaii, temps are about 70 to 80....what should i do, what are your settings.

also i can't get my throttle and brake right, i hit the brake and it cuts off the throttle and kills the motor. how did yall overcome this problem w/ the new throttle linkage angle?

you have to adjust your idle... that too can contribute to engine temps....

I fined tuning this engine very easy.. compared to the other engines I had in the past...

don't give it full throttle untill your 10+ tanks...

and always run after run oil in the carb...

I've ajusted the idle to be nice and low, it dies when i brake, i ajusted to be high, but i dont like it to be a high idle, i like my low idle like i had w/ my 25. for those of yall w/ the .46, where are u located, state, temperature, and elevation, my settings will prolly differ most likely. ill try and mess w/ it when i get off, i may work till 10 tonight.

you idle is NOT adjusted properly...... if it was it shouldn't die

to adjust your idle you have to apply the brake and slowly.. when it starts to die you turn your idle needle lil tighter. Then you fully apply the brake and adjust the idle some more when you feel it starts to die... then when you let go of the brake you can adjust your throttle up a little to how you want it from the controller. That's how you adjust the idle.... you only touch your mid and low speed if you really know what you are doing... REALLY know how to tune engines. Other than that keep it factory settings... I don't know how may turns I did... I do lil adjustments here and there...

plus did you adjust your post like it said on the instructions? It has to be longer than factory...

Plus you also have to adjust your carb angle... too a point that it opens up fully and doesn't hit the tank..

didnt have a chance to run savage yesterday, i lengthed the linkage rod to 56mm like the book said, i even laid it down on the pic of it to get it perfect. i never did re angle the carb though, good idea, i didnt like the angle of the linkage rod and the carb slider at all, too much angle, looks like its binds. hopefully i wont have to work till 9 tonight, workin on deploying to korea has us workin late nights and it sucks cuz i can't play at all.

Man devildog, I had the same problem w/ my .46 I finally called hotbodies and they said that the first batch of .46 had some things wrong with them. They said that the exhaust was not flowing enough. there was some other things like the comprestion was to much. Thay told me to send it in and they would send out a new one. So I just sent it off three days ago so I can't wait to get it back. My .46 would run one half tank then get to hot, but it would continue to run If I had it on high idle. I let it idle it would die. my hottest temp was 305 I never was able to run a full tank through after the breakin process was done. just run to hot. tyou might want to call HB

that's interesting to hear??? I was probably the 2nd person here to get the Truckzilla and it running sweet.... I don't know if mine was the first batch or 2nd.. cause I had mine Pre-Ordered from meganitro since late Nov or Early Dec...

i called HB and they told me to look at the header and see if the inlet portion of it had been tapered out to make it bigger, and not just a hole, but an angled hole into the opening of the header. i looked at it and it looks like its been tapered, angled and everything, i think i could try tapering it some more w/ y dremel too, he told me the low speed needle should be 1 turn in from flush w/ the carb slider, i did that, and the high needle is now 4 turns out, i can tell the truck is running rich now, my venom temp meter battery went dead, i left it on all night so now i have to get a new battery yall.
