HELP OS 30VG Tuning issues

ok so my engine holds a pretty good idle and seems to have a good tune.
The engine performs well but when you open it up to full throttle then let off the throttle it seems to not wanna come back down.It sounds like its stuck with the carb open but the carb is opening and closing fine (i even added a small spring to ensure that its closing).
I was thinking maybe my LSN was a little lean so i started richen it up a 1/4 turn at a time and it really didnt seem to make a difference.i turned it a total of 1 whole turn towards rich and the only change was ofcourse sluggish off the line performance but once it got up to WOT it still just keeep windin even with the carb fully closed.
What could this be???

I think you are lean on the top end as well. Try richening just a touch on the HSN and see what happens.

forgot to mention i richened up the HSN about a half of turn

ok il try another 1/4 turn or so and see how that goes

could an air leak also cause this condition?
i was thinking about sealing the motor.I'm sure it could use it lol

It's a nice engine but imo it's best left alone, Had they made it a true ABC engine things would be different.

Yeah, that nova sure seem to like it, great driving and a perfect tune around the 4:40 mark, it was sure screaming

hey just to let every1 know
it was an air leak causing my problem.
I pulled my roto start backplate and OWB off and notice that all 4 of my screws out of the main engine backplate were loose as a goose lol

i bought some screws and some nice strong red loc tite and put it back together, set needles to were they perorm best (i wrote it down previously when at a perfect tune) and every thing seems good!

For future reference, don't use red locktite. You'll find out why when you try to take em out. A soldering iron will be needed to break that stuff loose.

thanks but i doubt il have to take them out anytime soon man.
i just did a complete rebuild on this motor less than a gallon ago and last time i rebuilt it lasted over 10 gallons lol.
i ALWAYS use red loctite when it come to a engine man,screws coming loose can cause catastrophic failure very easily and very quickly lol

any thing else yes blue loctite is fine or even none at all on some screws..but when it comes to my 300 dollar engines i can't take no chances buddy!
