hey i just got a new exceed nitro buggy and I'm new to nitro and i tokk it out for two brake in tanks and everything worked great so i took it ou today it had a hard tim starting then i finally got it running and it it guns it and i was not even touching the controller so pinched the line and ajustid the idle needle so i stated it up and it still did that but this time when pressed the brake it stalled. :( PLS HELP! thanks a ton jchobby

Your linkage is out of adjustment. The idle setting was probably close. Take the air filter off and look into the carb. At idle(finger off of the trigger), there should be about a 1mm gap. When you squeeze the trigger, the carb should open up all the way. When you release the throttle, the slide should return all the way to the idle position. When you apply the brakes, the 1mm gap should remain and the brakes should engage. ALWAYS perform an electronics check before starting the engine. Especially the for the first time.

all that is correct ecccept for when i press the brake it closes all the way :\ and when i fix this it will fix the car running away?

No, the idle has nothing to do with the car running away. Make sure all the batteries are good. Check all of the wires for frays and cuts and make sure the crystals are tight. Check the connectors too. Then do a range test.

i feel like an idiot but crystals??? what are they

ok nvm i know the crystals but i took my car out today and it was still driving awy so i brought it in and ther was like this greenish liquid comming out of the exaust and am just guessing thats not good someone pls just tell me i did not skrew it up

Take off your air cleaner and look into the carb. Turn on the radio and rx. Do NOT start the car. Turn the throttle trim on your radio all the way down and hold the trigger in full brake position. NOW adjust the idle screw to the proper opening.
Now it won't stall when you brake.
If the LSN is too lean, it will idle to fast causing the car to creep. It might be a weak or broken clutch spring, also.
The green coming out of the pipe is oil from the fuel. It means you are probably running too rich in the HSN.

it does not just creep it guns it :buggy1:

how much would eather of those run if i need to get a new one

sweet i will open this sucker up and check it out but its an exceed i didnt expect much out of it lmao :hehe: just something cheap to get me started then i hope to save up for something great but idk might just go back to electric and big thanks to you both for the help its been great

hate to bring up a dead post but my rc does the same thing. I looked at the clutch shoes, they look ok although I am not sure what they look like when they go bad. The spring is still around both and looks ok to.

its ok i about to get a new one i will tell you wether or not it works

My exceed did it too... the throttle trim was COMPLETELY whack. I had to pull the horn off the servo and replace it to straighten it.

also, WATCH THE SENSITIVITY!!!! I screwed up the servos because I nailed the brake and it couldn't go all the way back, I also did it to the steering...
