I recently bought this truck which I need some help. Obviously it is a t-maxx but I don't know which one or what kind of source I need to look for, for the missing parts. I have read there are differences between them but I don't understand what was changed between the models other than the engine. Since this one is completely aftermarket it may not matter anyway, I have just been away from this hobby for about 15 years and need some guidance. Also what would the value of this truck be as is? I don't intend on selling it but it was an impulse buy, and I would like to know if I payed too much.

Its hard to tell which model given all the aluminum. My guess would be the original 1st generation given the fueltank has a primer built in. I know my 2.5 doesn't have that and do know my original .15 did when I bought it many years ago. Just curious how much did you pay?

I paid $100

No it doesn't but I have a 2.5r on the way to use for parts hoping it will fit. The guy says he has a box full of parts for it too, the transmission may be in there. Ill have to go get it this week to see.

It looks like it is based off the original maxx platform. The body is the old Pro Line Jeep CJ8, it has been discontinued quite a few years now.

Is that all HCR aluminum? Or is it integy?

I'm not sure on how many companies made tmaxx purple parts but I know HCR did. If that's a HCR truck it's worth $1,000+

Even without the tranny a $100 is highway robbery. Good for you thats a great deal!!

That looks to be a 1st gen narrow pro .15 maxx.
Any standard servo will work for your steering if it has high enough torque rating.
For the trany, ebay a 4910 maxx trany, FOC it if you want & get a set of center shafts for it.

Yes, i believe all the transmissions are the same other than the 3.3 trans which comes in a gray case.Oh and i also believe it is the original pro .15 judging on how the shocks fill in the holes in the a arms.
