Hey waz up fellow talkers ,,
Savage xl ... 5.9 ...Here's the deal it worked fine (ran) .. Took it to my local hobby shop and the kid behind the counter fiddlesticked with the middle screw first off and I herd to leave it be and tune three the high and low needle .. So now I can get it to fire but will not stay on to idle .. I can get it to go on the stand with fist full of throttle then to much and it dies not enough and it dies .. Wth did that lil punk do .. Any help would be awesome ..

Motor has been broke-in
Working glo plug and glo plug igniter
No leaks
In-line stone filter
Stone filter in tank ( Neather have been checked or cleaned ) but again it ran fine befor he tinkered with my needles
How the heck do yo clean em'. Thnks
 
my 5.9 would start very easy, but would not idle, i eventually found several air leaks, other than that i'd try resetting your needles to factory settings and going from there. just my opinion hope it helps ya man. peace!
 
Ryt on thanks the thing is the high and low I've got ( I think ) lol flush is my understanding .. But how do you put back the middle needle you kno the one your not to fiddle with .. Where is factory for that witch way should screw head sit and point when at factory .. Thanks
 
To my knowledge to adjust the low and the mid you have to have the Cathy open and the engine off to adjust. I have my low set at about .75 turns out from flush. My mid range screw is about a turn out from flush. I'm still trying to re adjust my carb from my fuel change to byrons 20% rtr from traxxas 20%.
 
Hey thanks ,, I'll give it a shot in the morning when I get up andmesswith it if not its going to NorCal hobbie .. They'll get met up and bashing .. Plus I can pick up my roll cage .. And I can watch them and I can ask all the questions I need answered ... Thanks guys
 
Who woulda new ,, NorCal hobbies fixed me ryt up .. And the guy that did it is paid to fly arround the world to tune the pro's cars .. Sweet .. Runs better than I've ever had it thanks Eric from NorCal hobbies ... Check the shop and race tracks built in to the hobbie shop (what the hell ) yes built in ,,place is awesome ... I'll be back
