iv got a savage 4.6 ss needed a charger so took my 5 cell 1600 mAh battery to modle shop asked for cheap and cheerfull charger he gave me an ansmann charger it says reciver 4.8v transmitter 9.6v 70 ma.. my battery is a 6.0 1600 mAh will this work. the charger has a red light it goes on for a minuet then goes off so dont know if its working... please help

Sounds like it's not compatible with a 6 volt pack.

that charger doesn't have the power you need to work...you need a 6v, 1 amp or more charge rate just to work for that battery....
