ebay!!!! i used to get all my tmaxx parts from ebay for alot less than any of the online hobby stores.

Look for the traxxas big bores for a good set of shocks.

Then get a FOC for the tranny and save yourself many headaches from the reverse.

and aluminum bulkheads.

Sorry for me being a newb what's FOC

Name the parts and i will try to order them, like every little part. Alot of the parts are confusing to me they all have like diffrent sizes and stuff

Yeah 3.3's have reverse.

You actually are mistaken my friend. The older 3.3 had reverse. The newer version doesn't.

Do you have the Traxxas 4908 or 4909 maxx. (4908 has the extended chassis, Forward only, blue servos, traxxas resonator, bigger wheels, etc)

Okay scracth what i said!
Haha, Well my old maxx did, and the one I'm getten does. so i guess i have the older ones?

Yeah I would assume so. Lol. The newer 4908 maxx has a couple different changes and the tranny was one, they put a FOC in from factory. I assume your getting a 3.3 maxx with the grey tranny right?

This is the one i ordered i hope it have no reverse. Reverse would be cool but i would rather give that up insted of replacing parts. LosiLST you said they have blue servos, arnt those the water proof ones, i saw them on traxxas.com and they said it was water proof. wow if they are I'm gonna flip, thats so cool. oh heres the link of the tmaxx i got

Hey sorry black4x4 but I just realized that the 4908 Maxx doesn't come with the water proof servos. But it's not hard to do it your self. You just need some plasti-dip. You will really like the maxx. It has the better belcrank, has a sweet exhaust(resonator) the 3.3, FOC, big ass tires although on 14 mm hexs, lame, the extended chassis and more. The maxx has really came along nicly since the first one I had. ( pro .15 version.)

No the tranny in the pic looks black. the pictures bad, but it looks black. i can post it here if youd like.

Now, this may sound noobish, but why is reverse bad? all i know is its said to break stuff?

Send me a PM and I can tell you the model. I don't wanna hijack this guys thread.

But to answer the reverse Question, it's bad because it adds a lot of rotational mass to the tranny and are made of cheesy plastic gears that strip easy. It takes away power and every time you strip one gear you have to take the whole tranny apart.

Are there any problems i should be on the look out for my new traxxas. I'm not taking it on major jumps, maybe no jumps at all. the only reason i wanted the traxxas is to put upgrades and that i heard it was very stong. The only thing that i HATED was that i had to buy a battery and charger and i didnt know if it was good.

If you want your maxx to be nice and strong you need 3 things.

RPM arms
Lunsford hingepin/turnbuckle kit
Aluminum bulkheads

But I would also recommend getting a pull starter or rotostarter for the 3.3 and deal away with the EZ start.
