Hey guys, I've taken a little siesta on the RC scene and now i'm back and I have been bitten by the "bug":p: Anyway, i am looking at a RTF electric plane to learn/have fun with. I was originally looking at something like a Supercub, or the Glasair sportsman RTF (which i like the most). Then i was just looking around Hobbyking and saw this : http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/stor...ric_Trainer_1_4m_Ready_to_Fly_RTF_Mode2_.html
This is literally less than half the price of the Glasair, with pretty good reviews.
Does anybody have any input on my decision?
Thanks!!

P.s- I have a Night Vapor slowflyer so i have "some" experience with general direction.

It wouldn't be too bad for the price. Just remember that you may not be to get replacement parts right away if at all. I'd check with your Local Hobby Shop (LHS) and see what they stock parts for and let that help you decide.

If you don't mind my advise, but I you plan on staying with flying I'd skip the whole RTF and invest in a nice computerized TX and a simulator program.

My first balsa was a GP electrostik. Incredibly easy to fly.

Rf6.5

One advantage of buying a decent SIM, you get a huge variety of different models to fly, practice on and become familiar with their individual characteristics.
It's a great investment in the hobby.

Very true. I wanted a stearman, but after the difficulty of take-off in simulator I changed my mind :)

Who Knew?

I'm loving the Harrier in RF6.5 with its vertical takeoff ability...

I've never tried one

Are Bi-planes that much more difficult to take off with, than regular single wing craft?

Actually biplanes are much easier due to the 2nd wing generating extra lift. They are also great slow fliers, however when learning they need to be toned down a bit as they can just about turn on a dime. (Learned that the hard way)

Trial and error

I guess I can see for myself tonight...
All though I'm not into planes much, mostly helicopters here!!
